Chef Jason

Dining with Jason is all about creating a memorable experience with incredible food. Chef Jason Mayer grew up in NJ and was passionate about good food and having enjoyable experiences. His first job out of college was at Fromagerie in Rumson, NJ which was known over its 33-year run for its amazing food and service. This was the beginning of Chef Jason’s lessons in putting forward wonderful food with an elegant experience.

Chef Jason offers many distinct specialties, from Asian Fusion, French as cooked by Jacques Pepin, and Greek food as inspired by Iron Chef Michael Symon. He works with many vendors in the area to give you the freshest food that he can. Artisanal cheeses, seasonal vegetables, local meat and great wines are highlights of his cooking style. "My years in fine dining restaurants, in-home private dining, 5 Diamond Hotels and catering special events have given me an appreciation for quality ingredients and elegant meals. I have experience in many different cuisines."

Chef Jason moved to Indianapolis 2 years ago, bringing his young family with the idea of using and spreading his skills in the Tri Cities area of Indianapolis, Louisville, and Cincinnati. “My mission is to bring great food and pair it with an experience that will create lasting memories." Jason and his wife Petra include their 2 boys as the taste testers for all their new dishes. They have become their biggest critics. Petra is from the Czech Republic and adds an authentic European twist to their cooking style.

The local community inspires the food to table connection. By working with farmers in the area Jason is determined to offer the freshest and best ingredients that he can for his clients. He is also an established beekeeper and forager. Sustainability and farm to table are very important concepts for him. "As a part of United States Personal Chef Association, Indianapolis Business and Brews, NJ Chef Alliance, I’m always looking for more to offer and new ways to connect."
